Founding Chaplains
Darold Bigger
Co-Founder
Darold Bigger has years of experience in medical, church, campus, and military work. He has trained and worked in hospitals, prisons, churches, as a college professor and administrator, and as a military chaplain. Along the way he earned two master’s degrees, a PhD, is a licensed Marriage and Family therapist, a Certified Social Worker, and a Board Certified Chaplain.
He pastored both rural and University churches, did per diem chaplaincy in hospital emergency rooms, worked on the pastoral staff of two universities and as senior pastor of a multi-pastor university church for twelve years. As a Professor of Religion and Social Work he taught undergraduate and graduate courses, for several years was Assistant to the President, and retired as Dean of the School of Social Work and Sociology. For nearly 30 years he was a Navy Reserve Chaplain retiring as Deputy Chief of Navy Chaplains for Reserve Matters, overseeing the Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard religious ministry and programs.
Paul Anderson
Co-Founder
Paul Anderson is a pastor and chaplain with decades of ministry experiences in healthcare, military, law enforcement and academia. With three master’s degree and a Doctor of Ministry, he has led and taught at boarding schools and at the university level. He is credentialed in Civil and Alternate Workplace Dispute Mediation, Counseling and Personnel Services and Life Coaching.
He has served as an advocate for professional chaplaincy at the highest levels of denominational, military and corporate environments. 11 years of pastoral ministry in urban, suburban and campus contexts prepared him for 20 years of military service as a Navy Chaplain. After his naval career, he served as the denominational Endorser for
chaplains. Believing that ministers don’t retire when their career ends, he is collaborating with Chaplain Services to provide pastoral care to aging veterans and other people who are in assisted living, hospice or palliative care environments.
